The hotel communicates exclusively by telegraph. Every piece in the suite is a transmission — dispatched, received, and replied to. The format is functional. The language is deadpan. The formality is absolute.
Invitations are official transmissions. Save-the-dates are advance notices dispatched months prior. RSVPs are reply cables returned to the hotel. The design language does not emote. It simply conveys.

Navy is structural: top bands, footer bands, primary text on cream. Never used on a navy field — no navy-on-navy.
Rose marks urgency and emphasis: the 2px rule under every top band, the & in the names, deadline text, and acknowledgement instructions.
Pale Rose is reserved for the flamingo and band copy. It carries warmth without compromising the formal register.
Cream is the paper — the ground beneath every card. No nested cream fields. No warm-to-white gradients.

The flamingo is the hotel’s one concession to warmth. It appears in the sender section of every transmission — beside the dispatch text, without explanation. The hotel sends formal correspondence and a flamingo arrives with it. The dress code later confirms what the guests may have suspected: Flamingos optional.
Usage Rules
Sender section only · left of dispatch text · 36×52px on all pieces. Never enlarged, never repositioned, never used as a standalone hero mark.
Identical across all three suite pieces — same SVG, same scale, same position. No variation between pieces. The consistency is part of the deadpan.
§ 06 — The Anatomy
Top Band
Navy · 40px · Montserrat. Transmission type left, reference number right. Rose rule beneath.
Rose Rule
2px · #C9918A · One per piece, directly under the top band. The only rose horizontal line in the entire format.
Header Block
Recipient, date of transmission, priority. Montserrat 7–7.5px, tracked wide. Structured as an office dispatch form.
Opening STOP Marker
Functions as a subject line. STOP · [transmission type] · STOP. Used once per piece. Not repeated mid-message.
Message Block
Cormorant Garamond italic · centred · 16pt body, 58pt names, 24pt date. The formal content of the transmission.
Sender Section
Flamingo left · dispatch text right. "Sent by: Grand Hôtel" · "In honour of: Peter & Melissa". Always on cream, never on navy.
Footer Band
Navy · mirrors the top band. Left: formal note. Right: instruction in Rose. Closes the transmission.
§ 07 — The Hidden Delight

The One Break
Every piece in the suite operates in deadpan hotel formality. This line is the single moment where something else enters — dry wit, warmth, the sense that Peter and Melissa are in on the joke. The hotel transmits it without comment.
The Flamingo
It appears silently in every transmission — in the sender section, beside the dispatch text, unexplained. Save the Date. Invitation. RSVP. Three times. The dress code confirms what guests may have suspected.

§ 08 — The Suite
Advance transmission dispatched from the hotel — No. PM-2026-I. The hotel announces the date by telegraph months prior. The couple are named; the hotel speaks on their behalf.
Official telegraph transmission — Priority Urgent, No. PM-2026-XII. Full event details. Dress code with its one departure. Acknowledgement required.
Reply transmission — complete all fields and return to the hotel. References PM-2026-XII. Tear-off stub retained by the guest as confirmation of receipt.
Evening service transmission dispatched to each table. Courses as formal telegram fields. The hotel communicates the bill of fare with the same deadpan formality as the invitation.
Table assignment notice. Compact portrait format — the hotel assigns each guest their position with the same formal dispatch language. One transmission per guest.
Post-event acknowledgement dispatched the morning after. "Your attendance has been entered into the hotel register." The deadpan register holds — even in gratitude.
