No illustration. The house itself is the image. The suite reads in the vocabulary of construction documents — material schedules, technical precision, the weight of specification. Charcoal ground, linen type, the LMB monogram as the only visual mark. A guest holds it and feels the same specific gravity as the house.

"The house was four years
in the making.
So is this invitation."

§ 01 — The Concept

The First Pour

"Names large on a charcoal ground. No illustration, no ornament. The monogram rests as a watermark. A new home, announced with precision."

This suite exists because a new home marks a threshold. The materials should hold that weight. The palette derives from the architecture of the Seefeld house — charcoal exterior, warm sand interior light, caramel linen as the turning point between. Every design choice traces back to the physical: charcoal as the primary ground, warm sand for names and primary content, caramel linen as accent and structure.

No decorative ornament. No floral motifs or rustic texture. "Nothing decorative that doesn't serve a purpose" — that instruction taken to its logical conclusion. Precision typography in Cormorant Garamond and Raleway instead: fonts that carry formality without ceremony. The monogram appears only as watermark, never as hero use. The suite is as deliberate as the structure it announces.

The threshold — concrete door, lake view, brass key. Seefeld, Zürich.

The threshold. Seefeld, Zürich — the house that prompted this suite.

§ 05 — Design Constraints

What We Protect

These constraints are rules, not preferences. Each one exists to protect the material integrity of the suite — its precision, its clarity, its weight. None of these elements appear anywhere in the Baumann suite.

× Ornamental flourishes or decorative borders. Structure comes from typography, not ornament.
× Floral motifs, rustic texture, or farmhouse styling. The aesthetic is architectural.
× Rounded corners on any element. All corners are crisp — square or no border.
× Bold or heavy typeface weights. Weight 300 only — lightness carries formality.
× Monogram in full opacity or as a hero element. Watermark treatment only, subtle.
× Any serif other than Cormorant Garamond. The font carries the warmth.
× Illustrations or photograph imagery. Precision through typography alone.
× Gold foil, metallic finish, or additional colours beyond the palette.
